Born in 1955 and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, David graduated from Baylor University, cum laude, with a B.A. in Economics in 1977. He attended Baylor University School of Law, graduating cum laude in 1980. While in law school he was an Associate Editor of the Baylor Law Review. After graduating law school, David moved to Dallas, Texas, where he has since maintained his litigation practice.
David has always practiced in civil litigation and now specializes in civil appeals and insurance coverage. In December 1987, David became Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law in the first group of attorneys that were certified to handle civil appeals in Texas. He was re-certified in 2007 and is listed in Who’s Who In America. After twenty years of practice David returned to law school to earn an advanced law degree. He earned a Masters Of Law (L.L.M.) degree from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in 2006.
While David has handled a broad range of civil litigation, including jury trials, he now limits his practice to civil appeals and liability insurance coverage disputes. Rather than handling a heavy docket, David concentrates on a smaller number of cases that involve large controversies. This allows him to devote individual attention to each case that he accepts.
